Welcome to Poised! We offer wedding services designed to help you feel your best on your special day. We specialise in Hair and Makeup services, and also offer first dance lessons and spray tans. We have plans to expand, and offer more services too!
Let me introduce myself!
My name is Natalie and I am the founder of Poised.
Poised was born in 2020 when I discovered my passion for weddings and hairstyling.
I have been qualified as a hair and makeup artist since 2017, having completed a short course with DFMA, before continuing my education and achieving a 1st Class BA Hons Degree in Makeup and Hair for Theatre and Media. Originally, I pursued makeup more than hair, but through the course of my degree I discovered my love for hairstyling and now focus on both equally.
I am also a dance teacher, having danced Ballroom and Latin my whole life, I worked my way through exams and competitions before beginning to teach.
The idea of Poised is to add a personal touch. Your wedding day is a magical one and it is important to be surrounded by people who feel friendly and familiar. With me, you can book just one service, or several, allowing you to get to know me so you feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible, making your wedding day feel smooth and easy.
My biggest passion is making someone feel amazing about themselves through the means of hair and makeup, and the magic of that feeling of the morning of a wedding is unparalleled. I am truly there for you and your bridal party on your wedding day and will go above and beyond to make you feel like the best version of yourself - even if that means taking on a couple of non-hair and makeup duties!
The Hair and Makeup industry is a vast one, and I love doing all sorts of jobs, including photoshoots, editorials, short films, wig making and more. Though bridal is what I really love to do!
I'm always striving to be the best I can be and love learning new things. I am currently training to become a fully qualified hairdresser to ensure that I'm at the top of my game when it comes to hairstyling.
